Selena Gomez Set to Co-Host 2011 MMVAs in Canada

The brunette beauty is officially confirmed to co-host and perform at the 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards, admitting she is thrilled and honored to take the duty.
Selena Gomez is officially announced as a co-host and performer at MuchMusic Video Awards for its upcoming 2011 celebration. This marks the "Ramona and Beezus" movie beauty's first trip to the MuchMusic HQ in Toronto.

Talking about her involvement at the event, the girlfriend of Canadian pop idol Justin Bieber said in a statement, "I am thrilled and honored to host the MuchMusic Video Awards." The teen songstress continued, "I look forward to seeing all my Canadian fans and kicking off the summer together."

Sheila Sullivan, Executive Producer of 2011 MMVAs, additionally gushed, "Selena Gomez is a bona fide star." She added, "Her films and TV show are seen around the world and her songs are topping the charts. 2011 MuchMusic Video Awards will air on Sunday, June 19 at 9 P.M. Selena will be joined by Lady GaGa who was announced last April as the first musical guest. Its nominees and other performers are promised to be announced sometime soon.
