After photos of the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' beauty covering a seemingly split lip hit the web, words spread like wild fire on Twitter that a fan of the 'Baby' hitmaker may have punched her. Contrary to the rumors, no fan of Justin Bieber has got physical with his girlfriend Selena Gomez. A representative for the "Wizards of Waverly Place" beauty was quick to pour cold water to the swirling speculation about her being punched by his fan, telling People magazine there is "absolutely no truth" to the story.
On Tuesday night, March 1, Selena accompanied Justin on a romantic dinner at Los Angeles eatery Maggiano to celebrate his 17th birthday. When the two left the restaurant, the 18-year-old songstress was snapped with her head down covering what seemed to be a split lip. In no time, words spread on Twitter that she was hit by a jealous fan.
The Tuesday night outing also drew heat for Selena's boyfriend Justin. When driving away from Maggiano, the "Baby" hitmaker was caught on camera flipping the bird at photographers. He has since sent out his apology on Twitter, explaining in a series of tweets, "i reacted in a way i know better. im sorry. it's not always easy but i know better than to react in anger."
The "U Smile" singer went on to write, "life has it's ups and downs but u guys r always there 4 me. i will make my mistakes but i promise 2 continue 2 grow with u and try 2 do rt. so thank u for a great bday and an amazing gift of charity to help others. another year but still the same kid. still grateful. #makeachange."
